Episode: A Home Forever - A Visit with Blanche McMillan. Most homeless shelters are a temporary place for those without a roof over their head. Things are quite the opposite at Hui Mahi'ai 'Aina run by Blanche McMillan in Waimanalo on Oahu's windward side. Blanche, who by any standards is a human dynamo, builds tiny houses by the dozens and invites local homeless people to move in and stay forever, which makes them no longer homeless. We wanted to see this for ourselves, so one morning we went for a visit.
